Why Chess?

Chess turns children into better students!

A number of studies have shown that children who play chess do better in school. One study showed test scores of chess players improved 17%. And the more children played chess, the higher they scored on their tests! In fact students that spent their extra time playing chess did better than those that used that same time to study! Chess gives children the ability to better analyze and solve problems in all areas of life!

FiDi Chess

The FiDi Kids Chess Class is a way for children to learn and expand on their chess knowledge. Each lesson is custom made based on our children's skill level so every student can learn at their own pace. Afterwards children can test out their skills against their own peers. Instruction centers around typical flaws in a young player's game.

The goal of these classes is to get children to think for themselves and overcome the boundaries that prevent a young player from reaching their potential.

At least 15 recent studies have shown that children who play chess perform better at school! [source]
